What is a rock step?
A rock step, name coming from rock and roll, is a sequence of three QUICK steps used to change direction in place

Alternate name: none
Tips/Notes: The direction of the turn made with a rock step is dictated by the leader foot that is ahead when starting the rock sequence. In this case it is the left (fig 2a) and the turn is on the left. The three steps are always made with Quick-Quick-Slow.
